Main idea
The Criminal Justice System is the process of law enforcement that is directly involved in capturing, prosecuting, defending, sentencing, and punishing those who are convicted or suspected of committing a crime. There is a different process for juveniles and adults, however if a juvenile commits a bad enough crime, they can be tried as an adult. I will be teaching you about the history, process, system components, and more.
"The purpose of the Criminal Justice System is to deliver justice for all, by convicting and punishing the guilty and helping them to stop offending, while protecting the innocent" (Lee Bryan, 2014)
